Comments:
I have 2 of these 3501 oscillating spindle sanders. They are loud and really throw off a lot of dust. If I needed to use them more than very rarely, I'd have to build a dust collector pickup for the table area to avoid a huge mess. The table is 20" x 20" and tilts 45 degrees left or right with the hand wheel. They are very heavy and well built machines, except for the teeth on the table tilt trunion. If you put any weight on the table edge, especially in the horizontal position, you can break the teeth off. Both of my machines have the teeth striped off in the flat (0 degree) position (not by me!). This was a bit of poor design at Boice-Crane, especially when you compare this to the grossly over-engineered heavy cast iron pulley cover, which is 500% stronger than it needs to be for a simple guard!
