One of the most used pieces of machinery in my shop is this Roll-In gravity feed bandsaw. It's essentially a horizontal cutoff saw in a vertical frame! They are very heavy and well built saws that are designed for production shops primarily to cut long materials. They typically are seen with both input and output conveyors as steel is fed into them. In the hobby or job-shop, they double as cutoff machine or a stationary vertical bandsaw with a decent work table. To use it as a stationery vertical saw, just lift the level to let the saw glide into its fully extended stop position in the middle of the table, remove the table-top block and turn it on. I refurbed this old saw back to factory fresh condition and it sees a lot of use in my shop.

The saw was too low for me, so I added 12" legs with levellers to raise the table height to a comfortable 42"

Here's how my saw looks today. Don't be confused with the Do-All job selector plate ... I had a spare one from an old scraped 36" machine so I put it on my Roll-In and moved the Roll-In badges down under the table

Here is the current model of the Roll-In EF 1459 saw which utilizes a 10' blade. They are not cheap ... $4,200, but they are bullet-proof.
