Comments:
I saw this planer advertised online as "old Craftsman planer, no motor $50". I asked for pictures, the PO sent them, and I showed up and bought it in early December 2010 for the asking price. Everything spun, nothing frozen up. I was told it had a 5hp motor on it that was removed by the PO just before I picked it up... the motor matched the one on his Belsaw planer, so he wanted to keep it.

This planer came with a shop-made angle iron stand that includes a motor mount. I've got the planer mostly disassembled now, and I'm on the fence as to whether I should completely restore it, or just give it a good cleaning and lube. I'm leaning towards the clean & lube right now, due to the time I have available at the moment.
