While trolling Craigslist, I saw an ad for a 'Craftsman saw', and the price was cheaper than usual, so I looked. The picture was a scrollsaw, and looked like it had table extensions. Now I have looked at the dirty paper on the MS and noticed those extensions, especially since I have a couple of 0404's in the queue.
When I got there, sure enough the saw was complete, operable, and had the OEM extensions, and fence rails, on a homemade stand. The front extension is CI, and matches the main saw table. the side extensions are sheet metal, and have spot-welded gussetts underneath for support. The fence rail is small, but matches front and back. Based on the diagram in the dirty paper, the extensions and fence rails appear to be original. Unfortunately, the fence got lost through the last two owners. The guy I got it from bought this as part of a group of machines, including an old stroke sander and a small lathe, and just didn't have a need for the scrollie.
The motor is a Leland, is mounted on the C-man floating motor mount, and has an unusual built-in fuse holder.
Glad I had a chance to pick this up, although I'll have to start stacking scrollsaws if this keeps up.
