I am trying to find a Model Number/Name and the Year in which this lathe was made. My research so far says that The John Bertram & Sons Co. Ltd first began forging their full name on machines built from 1901 and up. We have a three phase electric motor that came with it that was patented in 1903 and 1906. This is also said to be a Quick Shift Model and it has nine combinations of cutting speeds. When looking through a reprinted 1925 Popular Mechanics book it showed some lathes with down around six or less cutting speeds. Does this help anyone who may have Company literature on this particular lathe that still works?
