This saw is "on loan" from a friend. He originally acquired the saw from his father. The father bought the saw in 1950 and used it to construct his house. He passed the saw down to his son when he no longer used it.
My friend had it in storage for a number of years. He knew of my interest in arn. He decided he needed to get rid of the storage bay he was renting and contacted me and asked me about listing it for sale although he really didn't want to sell the saw. I proposed that I would store it for him and in exchange for storing it I would use and maintain the saw and he could have it back whenever the mood struck him. Seemed like a good deal for the both of us.
It came complete and all I had to do was check everything over, clean it up a bit and put it to work.
