Comments:
This lived for years in Salem, Oregon, and was sold on consignment here inn Portland. (I bought it for $900.) The original Babbets were nicely converted to pillow blocks; the cutterhead is only a 2-blade, so the cut could be smoother, but the beds are in great shape and nearly flat. It is obviously the same casting as an American jointer, but the only name on the machine is Frank H. Clement.

The inset is a rubbing of the brass plaque; another plaque reads "Parke Lacey Machenery Merchants, San Francisco".
