Aquired from "Back Motor Bodies", Toronto, Ontario, in summer 2010. They were cleaning up the shop after a fire. I went to look at another machine, and one of the owners said "there's a truck body out back full of machines... they've been out there for 15+ years". This jointer was out there, as well as a Dewalt R2 RAS, a Champion Blower and Forge Metal Lathe, and some other things. I have always liked the style of these jointers, and the price was right, so I bought it... don't know if I'll ever use it!
It has a 3-phase direct drive motor, don't know any more motor info as the tag is gone. Cutting head is a 4 knife. I believe it has been refitted with a new head and roller bearings, as I don't think it would have originally been that way. The bed is 17" wide, but the cutterhead is only 12" wide.
This machine is HEAVY!!
