Comments:
I purchased this saw on Ebay in the summer of 2002 from an estate in Spokane, Washington. That's a 5 hour drive to the far eastern part of the state. The current owner had passed away and I was dealing with a friend of the family. He had no idea what he had sold me and in fact upon discussing the saw with me, had had sold the original saw wrench and throat plate separately in a garage sale as he didn't put the two together! I unfortunately did not arrive early enough to save these valuable pieces.

The saw was rumored to come out of Spokane Falls Community College whereby they had replaced it because it was too old and they purchased newer equipment! It does have a "Unifence" which would have been an upgrade to this saw and not original equipment. This saw has a 1" arbor and I use both 12" and 14" blades in my woodworking hobby. The saw is powered by a huge 5HP three phase motor.

I am in the process (Spring of 2004') of replacing all the arbor bearings in the saw as well as the motor bearings in the 5hp Rockwell motor. All bearings were replaced with Nachi brand.

My plans are to touch up the paint at some point.

*** Due to the generousity of my fellow OWWM'r, I was able to find the original throat plate and original arbor wrench. Many thanks go out to Keith Rucker and John Orvis for finding and documenting the Grizzly arbor's which now extends the functionality of this saw for me and a future generation. ***

Comments: Just returned from Spokane and it started to rain as I unloaded the big saw!

Comments: Check out the size of arbor wrench, makes easy work to take the nut off. Note the grooved channel for the mitre guage, quite a different design versus the Unisaw. The mitre guage weighs approximately 12 pounds!
