This jointer was first sold to a company in Harrisburg, PA. In the 1970's Evert Piano Co. scraped it. It was purchased for $70.00 from a South Haven, MI scrap yard.
It was missing the cutter head, bearing caps and the fence. Occasionally I looked for the missing parts at the scrap yard and several years after rescuing the machine found the fence. New enclosed bearings, a new cutter head and a blade guard were installed with a 4 HP 220v motor. The frame was bead blasted and repainted. After the rebuild several thousand feet of lumber have been ran through the jointer.
