This machine was purchased in Toronto at a used machinery dealer in 1997. It was rough and was powered by a 3 phase 3 hp motor. I took it apart, replaced the motor (and starter) with a 5 hp single phase and gave it a paint job (John Deere green). It is an awesome machine that has caused some grief to more than one mover...I think it weighs in at nearly 700 lbs because of the massive solid cast iron base. I have replaced the three drive belts, the brass threaded block that rides on the angle adjusting screw. Also, because the 5 hp is sooo darn heavy, I have added a couple of springs to assist in pulling the motor assembly up when setting balde angle. I also added a router table extension which required replacing the front fence rail so that I could use the fence with the router. It is missing the cabinet side panel cover and the dust shoot panel that encloses the saw blade underneath to facilitate dust collection. One unusual characteristic of this unit is the 3/8 depth channel for the the miter guage. I had to modify a delta rod to fit.
