I don't know a lot about this saw, nor how it originally looked with a mounted table or a type of bench to allow for long stock to be cut. Apparently the long arm with heigth adjustment wheel is that length to allow for a bench or table to sit in front, is all I can figure. Your input is welcome if you know anything more about this seldom seen type of saw. For safety reasons, I can see why it isn't that popular. It is located in a mill in upstate NY and was apparently given to the now deceased owner as payment for a debt. Stay tuned for updated photos on this beast, once the weather and temps improve.
