A nice find, The CL ad was one pic showing a few items and was letting people know about a one day moving sale that they were having the following week. I noticed a DP220 in the pic. I emailed asking if he would sell the drill press ahead of time. He said make a offer, Made a cheap offer sense i really could not see much of the drill press from his pic. He said come and get it, and that he also had a lot of machining tools also. when i got there he had lots of end mills, taps, dies, reamers, chucks, mics just for a start and all for CHEAP and new condition or new. Bought most of it. And was very happy with the drill press. It was his Grandfathers and in great shape. He did paint it years ago and said it had no rust or wear he just wanted to freshen it up alittle bit. I'm glade he left the motor alone. Could not find a serial number or even holes for one but looking at other pics it seems none of the DP220 in 1937 had tags. The dimples in the table are very shallow and could be ground out very easy but i think i will leave it alone. I love the patina look.
