Aquired in a private sale with tons of other machines. It was basically free. I haven't had any time to scrutinize this shaper but I like the small size for small projects. The only aspect that worries me is the 1 1/4" spindle. I like to have at least six shapers in my shop to reduce set up time and I'm currently geared for 1" spindles. Often times it is cheaper to just buy another shaper with the spindle size you need than acquiring another spindle. It has very simple geometry and engineering and my hunch is that this will be a keeper.
