This saw came from a gentleman near Louisville, KY. I don't know any history on it, and sadly don't even know when it was made. The saw was ruckered to Arnfest by Dan Warner and his brother while Andy Houriet brought it back to PA where I was able to pick it up.
I haven't seen any photos of this model before, and based on the brochures that I have, I am pretty sure it's a #193. It has a fixed arbor with a tilting top and at a height of just 32" from the floor, this probably was not a very popular saw. At 6' 1", I'd have a sore back in just minutes using this.
Some of the interesting features of the saw are the cast iron belt guard, cast iron table insert (with part number JS24 or JS21), what appears to be the original miter gauge that is much smaller than even the Oliver #3, a 1/2hp Century RI motor, and graduations on the table for 45, 90, and maybe a couple other angles (I haven't had time to clean the top yet).
The usual Oliver ID tag is MIA and the only stamped numbers in it are S633 on the tilt scale.
If anyone can help me located a fence for this saw, I would really appreciate it. Although maybe not the same, it looks like it would mount just like the one for the #192 18" bandsaw.
