A friend of mine that cleans out foreclosed houses and dabbles in scrap iron, called me and said there was a guy at his place that had an old planner that he was going to take to the scrap yard and did I want to come look at it.Of coarse I said yes. This is what he had. Craftsman badged Parks.
Everything is rusted and nothing would turn, but over a couple of days I soaked it with PB Blaster and finally got the table to lower and the cutter head to turn by hand and without forcing anything.
I don't really have room for this, but I'm going to try to restore it just to see if I can. I love the big honking motor and would like to see it running. We'll see.
