This disc sander accessory for a Delta lathe had been converted into a standalone sanding machine. I am now in the process of re-converting back to a lathe accessory.

It was recently acquired from the local Craigslist. The table is tagged Delta-Milwaukee but there is no model number that I can see. The underside of the table has a part number "DDL 30" cast into it, and its support arm has "DDL 31".

The sanding disc is tagged Craftsman. The base in the first few photos is homemade. The motor is a 1/4hp 1725 that hums and gives a slight burning smell, so the recent threads on motor rehab may inspire some late winter evening disassembly and cleaning. I presume that this has stood outside in the weather for some time, so while the sander is certainly restoreable the motor may or may not be.

The last two photos show how it will (eventually) fit on my 11" Delta gap bed lathe. I just need to make some clamp blocks for attaching it to the lathe bed as these original parts were not part of the homebrew base that it came with. The 8" disk will get mounted to the scroll chuck, effectively bridging the gap in the bed.
