Acquired from another owwm member. It was missing the blower apparatus but seemed to run once hooked up to a motor. I broke it down, sandblasted, cleaned up badges and replaced missing or worn stickers. Fresh home brew paint of some left overs that made a full gallon of a real nice Delta Gray. Made a replacement insert. I may try to find a serial tag.
When I was stripping some of the smaller parts, I noticed that some were aluminium so I polished them up and left as is. The slide piece that goes in the slot on the crank cover right side cap has some wear and I will have to find another one. Also, the numbered plunger outer housing has a crack in the bottom and will need to be replaced at some point but other than that, a good running saw.
I am powering it with a Wagner (I believe r.i. but it has been awhile since I restored it) 1/4 h.p. motor and a pair of pulleys that seem to match though I believe the crank pulley should have bigger steps to slow her down a bit. The highest speed is way too fast.
The worst part of the rebuild was when I was taking some gouges out of another pulley I had for it and had it let loose from the drill press chuck and smack me in the face and break my upper jaw in multiple places, multiple fractures around my right eye cavity, and damn near tore my nose off. 6 titanium plates, and 15+ pins and 30+ stitches and I'm almost as good as new. (pictures available on request) Put me behind by about 2 weeks.
If anybody has a replacement upper plunger housing and or the slide piece that goes inside the crank housing and slides up and down the cap slot, please send me a message. I'll edit this once I have it fixed.
