This machine was sitting in the back of a cabinetshop collecting dust where I was working in the early 80's. it was grossly abused and the platen had a groove worn in it from abusive sanding and no maintenance. I had the platen resurfaced at a local machine shop for $25 and purchase some new parts from Delta (I couldn't believe they still make parts for this machine, they match the 6x48 sander Delta still manufacters today)and instaleeled them. The machine is still running strong. in the background you can see a vintage Boice-Crane 12" disk sander. this is one of the most industrial machines I have found from Boice-Crane.
