Found this $25 special on C/L mounted to a rotted wood stand. I was specifically looking for a sander that could be slowed down to prevent burn. Since these have oil bronze bearings instead of sealed ball type, it seemed like a good choice. At the risk of angering the machine gods, I mounted it to a 1960's Montgomery Wards stand. The Craftsman decals were $.75 ea from eBay. The auxiliary table was fashioned from a section of junk table saw. With step pulley's this can be slowed down to less than 800 rpm's. No more burned end grain on wood or lost temper sharpening tool steel.
