I picked this up from a fellow OWWM'er for cash plus a 768 (10" Delta). It ran, but had a pretty severe vibration and there was an odd tapered shim under the table support. I ass-u-me'd that these were minor problems that would require only a small outlay of cash... hahaha! The upper arm was bent, the lower casting had been machined to account for a bent table support, but it was machined in the wrong direction - hence the shim. The upper wheel was extremely far out of balance, even with a lead weight secured to it. The lower wheel shaft was basically beyond repair and the shift lever for gear box wouldn't stay in postion.
But it will live again. Once completed, it will have parts from no fewer than 5 machines on it. This is a perfect example of why it is sometimes okay to part out a machine - so that one like this can carry on! List of parts from donor machines, so far (each part from a different donor):
1) Upper casting
2) Upper wheel (cast aluminum, not CI)
3) Table support
4) Gear box cover
5) Lower shaft
6) Possible table

Where the serial tag should be. I may put a paper tag on... we'll see.
