I received this Boice Crane shaper, along with a Boice Crane Jointer, from my Uncle John Bednarz. He used it for his cabinet making business. My late Grandfather Lawrence Bednarz also used it for his furniture making business. I am new to woodworking and these tools have been added to my shop.
This is a very sturdy tool. It has a very heavy gage sheet metal cabinet that sits on a cast iron floor stand. The table and spindle housing is also cast iron. The original motor was replaced. This tool is in excellent condition with the exception of some surface rust.
