This is the saw that started it all! It belonged to the cabinet shop I began working for when I was 19. It always piqued my interest, even though everyone else just considered it an old table saw that was kept in the back of the shop, and rarely used. A couple years ago the motor went out, so my boss had me go buy a brand new Baldor motor and put it on. Unfortunately, that was just before work drastically slowed down. Maybe a month or two later, we disconnected and stored it with some other machines we were no longer using because we were rapidly downsizing. Eventually, the owners decided to close the doors. My one boss knew I'd always had my eye on the saw, so when he asked me to help him out with some chores needed to close the shop, he offered it to me for a days worth of labor. I definitely jumped at the deal!

I was pretty bugged to find that my bosses partner (the other boss), had set it outside temporarily, so the table top has some surface rust. At least he covered the motor up, so I believe that it's still fine. In fact, it was barely used before we took it off line, so it is almost new. Also, he had removed one of the table extensions for some reason. I haven't been able to get in touch with him and I've been trying for awhile, so I'm afraid that I'll just have to consider it long gone. So I'm looking for a replacement. If anyone knows where I can find one for sale, please let me know. The top is 31 and a heavy 7/8s of an inch long.

We had a Beisemeyer Fence on it which I also got and need to put back on, along with the table extension I still have.

I think for now, I'm just going to get it running so I can use it. Eventually I plan on doing a restoration. The switch worked fine last time I used it, but I'm not the one who disconnected it. Hence, why I never found the switch face plate. I'll have to find or fabricate one. Or replace the switch all together. If I do, does anyone have any advice on what I should get, and where to find it?

Also, we had the saw wired straight into the shops electrical, so I need to wire up a cord for it.

I'm definitely excited to have and use this saw. Especially since I'm born and raised in the Los Angeles area. So I think it's kinda' cool to have a machine that was not only made in the U.S. but also here locally.
