I bought this Post Drill in 2007 from a working blacksmith shop in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was action off with the entire shop that was used till the owner passed away in 2007. I don't remember the name of the shop except that it was located in Northside in Cincinnati and he had some remarkable works. This drill has several numbers all over it, on the back side of the feed is the #517, on the frame mounting reads "Improved 1891","510", "No 2", on the crank wheel is "The Silver M'F'G' Co Salem, O. U.S.A. 503.
