Picked this beauty up when i was checking out a Delta 700 jig saw, they had this drill press shoved back in the corner out of site (almost). When i struck the deal on the jig saw i brought up the drill press just to see if i could look at it and see if it was for sale also. Come to find out both machines belonged to his father and they were the last of his tools and he really wanted to keep the DP, but after some time talking to him he agread to sell me the DP as well. Since i been looking for this exact drill press i was ecstatic to be the new owner of a very well taken care of piece of old iron, i was amazed and still am of the condition this machine is in.

With a serial number prefix of 3, the born-on likely 1939-40, depending on exactly when Delta began using serial numbers on machines other than the Unisaws. admin:dg
