I have no real history on this. It was purch'd locally after ans'ing a Craigslist ad. The p.o. didn't have much info on it as he had purch'd it many yrs ago from an estate w/other items. I can't find any evidence of a different paint job. The green that is there appears to be original, if someone out there knows otherwise let me know. The handle appears to be original and has the same sort of paint/finish, wear and tear as others I have seen here. There is a small "arc of shame" on the deck, I will leave it that way. I've replaced a missing square headed screw to keep the deck from moving on the pole it is mounted too, otherwise I haven't done a a thing to it, besides dust it off, remove some rust, etc..

The stop finger & arm need some tightening, tlc, etc. That knob, an early "spinner"?
