I picked this jointer up from a CL Ad in Ball Ground, GA. The owner had purchsed it several years before in Illinois. The jointer was in very good condition so was only cleaned and put into service. The power switch was broken and I happened to have one from another restoration I had done. The blade guard has a patent date of Oct. 2, 1917 on it. It is a direct drive jointer and it powered right up and ran nicely. The motor and jointer both have oil cups for lubrication and the sleeve bearings were in good shape. The motor badge has both J.D. Wallace and GE on it. Wallace Bench Planer is engraved in the fence face. Motor Specs are 1/4 HP, 110 V, 60 Hz, 3450 RPM.
