This grinder came from a pseudo-salvage yard/mechanic shop whose owner was getting grief from the landlord and county for the state of the place. He was clearing out as much as he could, and I brought home several pedestal grinders. All were running, but badly in need of some care and attention. This is a 1/4 hp 3450 rpm on a cast iron Stanley pedestal with cast iron water pot. It came with a 60-degree toolrest on one side. It is absolutely whisper quiet and should work well for sharpening drill bits.
