This grinder came from a pseudo-salvage yard/mechanic shop whose owner was getting grief from the landlord and county for the state of the place. He was clearing out as much as he could, and I brought home several pedestal grinders. All were running, but badly in need of some care and attention. This is a 1/3 hp 3400 rpm that was originally mounted on a homemade farm implement stand, which has since been discarded. It is missing all of the right-side items (guard, toolrest, cover), and I had to fabricate an end cap bearing retainer to be able to secure the rotor for use as a buffer on that end.
