Comments:
I picked this machine up locally off Craigslist. Had a good amount of surface rust but was fairly complete and even had a craftsman drill press vice. Original motor was a newer vintage and looked like it came out of the bowels of a washing machine. I picked up a 1/3 hp period correct craftsman motor and put new bearings in and painted it to match the press.

The press was painted in Rustoleum Copper Hammertone paint and overcoated with clear. New bearings in the quill and the runout is below .001. Original Jacobs J33 chuck was in very good shape as well. Going to keep this one around for a while. Very nice little press.
