I found this band saw on Craigs List. The listing appeared at 8:17PM last Friday. I responded at 8:19 with, "I will buy it for your price." I arrived, saw and immediately paid the seller's asking price before 8:00Am the next morning. Yes, I was a motivated buyer. My years in the antique clock business taught me to "smell" something special. I suspect in my gut, but do not know for sure, that this incredibly graceful saw, with its wooden wheels, lacey spokes and almost post-modern design might be something special. Most important was my sense that it will be totally at home in an antique boat restoration shop.

No, I will not sell it. This saw was in service until two years ago when the seller down-sized homes and put it in storage. It will shortly be back in service.

I am hoping I can contribute to this community and by doing so possibly learn more about my Baxter. Thanks in advance!
