I found this drill press advertised in Craigslist and I knew this one is for me, especially at the asking price. $50. The owner didn't know what brand or size and used a couple of times in the last five years. This dp had been "modified" in some places and a few damages through improper uses. Will restore this soon after a few other restore projects get done. I looked at the 1957 catalog here to find the model number. It is very gummed up with hard grease everywhere. A few bumps of metal on the column prevent the table from going full length up and down. What surprise me the most are the pulleys. They're practically new. Sweet! The belt will have to replace, pretty well damaged. The push button switch was added later in its life. Kinda like that offset hub for the pull lever. Did replaced the weird 3/8" bented lever with the proper 7/16" rod cut to 18" long. Will have to order the ball knobs from Knobs Direct.

Cover off to show the almost new pulleys. Wrong idea for the pull lever.

Original motor-82-610. Not the original capacitor and need to find a cover for it. The motor starts up real nice and runs quiet.
