This table saw was stored in a storage shed converted from a truck refrigerated box. I bought the saw along with the 1946 6" Delta jointer in a pre-estate sale by an old fella who just had a stroke, inhibiting his left hand's movements. It wasn't in too bad a shape. Surprisingly, the bushing bearings were in excellent shape - no play of any kind. The bad parts were the pulley end of the arbor shaft got rutted by a loose set screw, the locking knob broke off, missing the miter gage and the whole saw including the tags were haphazardly sandblasted and spray painted silver. I replaced the locking bolt with a new locking handle and a new pin behind it. Wire brushed and hand sanded the loose stuffs off before painting it Delta grey. Did replaced the materials that was in the oil reservoir with cotton guaze pads used by dentists. A piece of canvas and a short piece of a boot lace.
In my opinion, this saw was a primitive predecessor to the 34-160 and not really a good version. Very to tilt the whole saw without bolting it down. There weren't any holes provided for extensions. Strictly a cheap hobby saw.

A new insert was made to replaced the original one by the PO. As you can see, not a good sandblasting job.

Found the elusive rare miter gage. The miter bar is measured 3/16" x 1/2" x 14". Odd for Delta.
