Craigs list find several years ago. I think that I paid $300.00 for this machine and a late model Parks 12" planer. I needed to replace a 6" rockwell jointer I gave to my father, and liked the long bed on this machine. Davis and Wells is a good manufacturer so I decided to get it. Haven't been at all sorry it did. The machine was in usable condition when I purchased it, and after I grew to like it's function, I decided to do a ground-up restoration. Stripped old "zolotone" paint job and painted the machine in a Duplicolor Engine Enamel "Cast Iron Metallic". Sandblasted and polished parts, new bearings. Added the rolling base, sharp knives and really happy with this machine! Sorry, no before pictures....
