This was originally sold by Bay Verde Machinery for use in a shipbuilding firm in Wisconsin.
Cutterhead may have been replaced later with the current round 2 knive unit. I had to shim the cutterhead assembly up by abpproximately 1/2" to narrow the gap to the in and outfeed tables.
Cutter head babbit bearings OK, but were last cast about 1/10" off head is shimmed to account for this.
I am still doing some repairs, but overall the machine was usable after 2 days effort and works very well.
The in and outfeed talbes (as well as cutterhead were removed for transport. The base was the heaviewst peice requireing 4 men to lift on the truck. Total weight is approx. 1000 lbs.
