Reportedly this was a one-owner saw belonging to a man in Cape Cod. After his passing, his son sold it to me. The saw was in very good condition, including the light. The table needed a scraping with a razor blade and a light buff with steel wool. The saw was dismantled and all painted parts sandblasted, and repainted. All other parts were cleaned and buffed where appropriate. Although the tires were not completely hardened, and the bearings felt smooth, all were replaced with new.

The saw never had a serial number which as I understand it puts the vintage at 1938, or 1939. Maybe 1940.

The saw shares many parts with its bigger 14” brother, which makes this a pretty substantial saw for a 10”.

I built the base to imitate one of the cast iron “industrial" stands offered by Delta to fit larger tools. As far as I know, there never was one for this little saw, so I was stuck making one.

I’m happy with the way it turned out, and sent pictures to the previous owner’s son. He was interested to see the restoration of his dad’s saw.
