Comments:
This GP was acquired from a woodworker in Jackson, MS who was in the process of restoring the machine. I installed new rails and 2 "new" used roller head bearings in the arm. The blade guard assembly is not the original but did come from another 12" DeWalt RAS. The machine is strong, solid and cuts very smooth and accurate.
Interesting features:
1. Concaved roller head bearings that run on replaceable 31/64" diameter rails.
2. Table bolts directly to the cast iron base with no cleats or table rails.
3. This particular model of the GP is described as "portable" in the manual......I assume because it has no metal base with legs, just the cast iron base which can be bolted to the top of a table or work bench.....portable if you have a forklift to go with it.
