Pre-restoration photo. I found this on CL for $300 and fell in love with the cabinet (I was looking for a replacement for my very noisy 12 year old Craftsman electronic VS). The rear head stock bearing had been replaced - the shaft had been turned down to accept a standard size and the fit was a bit sloppy so I had the shaft knurled then added a few drops of Lock-tite 660 which tightened it right up. Although it ran when purchased, it had a lot of vibration that was traced to a very worn reeves drive. Thanks to John Germain's posts and a few PMs, I was able to find a new replacement from the Hi-lo company (an HR-145). Instead of painting it its original WT colors (scroll down)I opted for a color similar to the driver line but more to match it to my old Craftsman/Parks band saw that a PO had painted. The speed indicator and wheel handle are reproductions that I made using photos from the site. The decal was reproduced using PowerPoint - it's not an exact match but it functions and will do until I can find the actual indicator....right!

Comments: Post-paint photo. The tailstock wrench is a Delta replacement and the banjo wrench was a flea market find (not WT).
