I found this bandsaw at a yard sale. It used to belong to the yard sale holders' grandpa. It was in pretty bad shape. I believe Walker-Turner manufactured this for Sears, in approximately 1930. The main problem with the saw was a broken pot metal top guard support/wheel bearing. A friend remade the entire top support system out of steel. The saw looks and runs great. This was good practice for my 36" Tannewitz, which I am currently restoring. Notice 'grandpa's' clever hand-made wooden stand, with retractable 1 1/2" galvanized pipe handles. I think Grandpa would be proud of his saw.
