Greatest thing since sliced bread!
Here's a few shots of an Oliver bread slicer that sold on eBay recently. This is an older one that dates from before the Oliver Machinery Co./Oliver Products Co. split. It has a dataplate just like the ones on the woodworking machinery, and the serial number is from the same list that includes the woodworking stuff.
It'll cut loaves of up to 15 inches in length into 30 one-half inch slices with its 28 blades. Parts are still available, with the blades running only about $1.50 each - a great contrast to the prices of Oliver woodworking machinery parts!
