Comments:
This drill has a 1/2" straight shank chuck. Quill travel is 3" with 20 turns of the top feed wheel. That wheel has 44 teeth that can be selected at one tooth per crank, two per crank or three per crank. There are 60 teeth on the crank shaft and 24 on the mandrel. The flywheel is 14". It weighs 92 1/2 lbs. as pictured. The table is missing, the right side crank is missing the flywheel handle is missing, the feed arm has been repaired and the feed wheel is broken. The main casting reads "IMPROVED 1891 No 2". The crank gear reads "THE SILVER M'F'G CO. SALEM.O. U.S.A." Note flywheel has a 5 spoke pattern vs. a 3 spoke for the other No. 2 listed by Raymond Groters. The "Improved" part may be the one piece design vs. 2 piece that Raymond shows.
