While I was picking up some other machines I had purchased off Craigslist the owner asked if I'd like to have the sander that was sitting off to the side. I said,' "Sure!", so he gave it to me. It was a Craftsman 103.22540 6" x 48" Belt / 9" disc Sander. I didn't have a need for it, but it was in pretty good shape other than the motor that was with it, which was DOA from a burned out starter winding. I decided to restore it to give it a new lease on life. A motor mount was constructed and used a u-bolt was used to attach it to the column. I also added a Craftsman motor that had come on another machine I had and redid the wiring. The pulleys were also replaced as they were the wrong size and bent. A fellow OWWMer supplied me with a 9" disc that was missing. No serial number was visible onthe sander. This will be moving along to someone else's shop.
