got this saw on craigslist with a delta table saw for 25$. the guy said it was given to him, and he didnt know if it worked. from looking at the other submissions on owwm i think its from the 1930s-40s. its got a 1/2 hp craftsman motor, with 2 spindles, forward/reverse switch, and a 3 prong plug. i dont think its the original motor. if the motor works, i might try to use it for another machine that would better utilize a foreward/reverse motor. i do not knw if the fence and mitre gauge are original. i'll have to make a new table insert for it. the blade height adjustment wheel broke when it tipped over in the back of my truck, but it still works. it came on a home made wooden stand with metal casters. i would like to fix this saw up and maybe use it for a dedicated fret slotting saw.
