Comments:
Purchased without a motor, but it will be bushed to accept a 3-1/2" diameter router motor. The tag says "RL Carter" above "The Stanley works". The arm casting says "RL Carter" only, therefore I think it should be one of the early ones. I is the type pictured pn Pat#1,829,393. The table is a little pitted and it is missing the under-table motor mount and the pin holder, but a little Liquid Wrench and WD-40 has brought all of the mechanicals back to life. The router motor is plunged by the foot pedal via a chain routed through the castings on sprockets. All of the electricals will be saved but not used. A new pin holder and pins have been machined. Disassembly and new paint are scheduled for Spring. I hope to make this a "user". I've always thought pin routers were under-rated and under-utilized.
Update: Finding an original motor has been unsuccessfull, but I did find newer version that is 3-7/8" diameter. It is a Stanley M90110.
