after looking on craiglsist for about 3 months for an american made drill press, i finally came across this one and got it for $50. its missing the belt guard. it has a 1/3 hp dayton motor. it has a custom wooden table bolted onto the metal table. i think it is a 1971, according to the owwm serial number data base. the day after i brought it home, i used it for drilling holes for a fret slotting jig, and it worked fine. glad i waited for a quality drill press, instead of getting a cheap one that the craigslist market is flooded with. if you have any input on this machine, or know where i can get a belt guard for it, let me know.
