I am uncertain about the history of this machine. I just bought from a guy that said he had it for 20 years and that he bought it from a retired woodworker on Camano Island (north of Seattle). He apparently ran the machine without tires as long as he owned it. It came with a box full of blades (30+), however only three fit this saw and they were dull (did I mention no rubber?). This is one of the older models, with a cast iron open door (which had been cut to allow the top to open seperately). The table was cast with a thickened area for an outboard miter slot, but it was never milled. No additional casting for fence rail supports are evident. The motor is a Wagner Electric RI 2hp, single phase, dual voltage behometh. The nameplate photo didn't turn out well. It draws 25 amps at 110 and 12.5 amps at 220, with a 1.15 service factor. The blade guides (original?) are Black Diamond and look really nice--a little worn due to running with tires, but the thrust bearings spin freely.
