An early "DP220", my first with the 3-stripe Delta badge. At some point it passed through the hands of Reynolds Machinery, a dealer in Providence, RI (a quick Google search shows a Dec 1941 Ad for Reynolds Machine in Providence, as well as a legal ad stating that "you may have been exposed to high levels of Asbestos" if you once worked at Reynolds Machine). A later tag for the same outfit appears in this thread, http://owwm.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=54370; probably there are more in the archives.

The machine came with the correct No.6400 1/3hp RI motor, which was fitted with a neat little A-H manual starter. Interestingly, the original switch rod was left in place, and survived with the machine all these years. Lots of patina here, as well as the curious cardboard sleeve. A cool little drill press.
