Saw this a year ago on CL and figured I missed it. It was posted again in Jan 2010 and I was able to contact and purchase locally. Came with a heavy 1 HP motor and also came with various cutters.
Most of these early shapers are 1188 model, but this shaper is the Delta 1199 model which is set up for production use with the 1 HP motor (motor number 1075) and No. 132 switch. This motor has the No 1075 decal for the motor which was an option in 1938 (the 1939 General Line Catalog lists new 1 HP motor No as 8100). The forward / reverse lever is on the motor. The machine also has a cast iron belt cover that was later changed to sheet metal.
