Bought this little saw for my twelve year old grandson while he and I were visiting Jamie Norwood. He is just getting into machine restoration and is interested in woodworking and having his own tools. Not sure why, all my tools will likely be his one day anyway, but I don't mind letting him have things of his own in my shop. Keeps him busy doing things less harmful than getting into trouble like some of his classmates.
I gave him advice on disassembly/reassembly, helped him paint, helped with mounting and crowning new tires, but the rest he did by himself. He stripped paint and polished much of the hardware. He picked the paint colors (Grainger Dem-Kote blue/grey for the frame casting, motor end bells, and wooden base, Rustoleum Hammered Copper for the wheel covers, and some motor parts) and did most of the painting. He did all the disassembly and the bulk of the reassembly.

Completed except for the switch to be mounted and without the upper blade guard that I fabricated.

This is the blade guard fabbed from an aluminum bracket, cut to shape, and buffed out. Didn't see an upper blade guard on any other 9360's, but felt that this was a good addition to protect young fingers. Beside, it had a mounting screw there.

This is the jig I built to use to mount the new tires. We used contact cement to adhere the tire and my DeWalt MBF RAS with a homemade plywood disc and a 10" sanding disc glued to it to crown the tires. I set the RAS blade/disc angle to about 4 degrees.

Here is the little 1/3 hp Century brass bushing, resilient mount motor. Still need to fab a little cover over the wiring terminals.

Proud 12 year old owner making his first cut on his "new" saw. Afterwards he said that he couldn't believe how well it cut after using a cheap Chiwanese bandsaw that we got rid of sometime back ("his" saw).
