Comments:
I purchased this machine in 1994 from an architectural millwork company in Massachusetts. The previous owner bought this machine in the 70's from a company in Michigan. He advised running the machine for thirty minutes to warm up the belts to keep them from falling off of the machine. I was able to fix this problem by building up the outer edge of the (lower)leather pulley - that someone had filed down!- with duct tape.
The table tilts for angled work and the machine is capable of cutting a 6 1/2" deep mortise in one pass at a feed rate of 1" per second!

I added a wooden pulley to tension the table raising belt.
